Distinctive Street Rods: Who are we?

Distinctive Street Rods was founded in 1995 by David Edgerton, one of the nation's leading Cadillac and Packard restorers, and Marshall Banks, a street rodder for over thirty years.

We both saw the need for top quality craftsmanship and great imagination in the street rod business after seeing so many 'cookie-cutter' cars at the 1995 N.S.R.A. Nationals in Syracuse, NY.

David has been restoring nationally award winning Cadillacs and Packards for nearly twenty years. Many of the classic cars people see in collector and coffee table books and classic car calendars were done by David.

Our first collaboration, a 1934 Ford 3W coupe, has won every show it has entered.

Besides working on customer cars, Distinctive Street Rods is building a one-off car for the 2001 N.S.R.A. Nationals. We don't want to give away too many details about the body's final look, but we will say it is a 1937 Ford.
